During lunch, Mark and I had our "Adoption Awareness" meeting, then right after work we went to the agency and dropped off our lengthy formal application as well as our first BIG check. Yipppeee!! I don't think I've ever been so excited to give $3,000 away!
For now, we have to wait another 4-5 days for the agency to process the application and get our caseworker assigned. She will then contact us so we can start scheduling our home study visits and the things we will need for our dossier.
I feel more "official" today if that seems possible. I also have seen some great new videos on the net about referrals and trips to Ethiopia and I am very excited.
On another note, how strange is this, I went into Target today to pick up something from the beauty section and I'm walking by a sales rack, so of course I stop and poke around and I find this!
Okay, I know I'm not really an "earthy dresser" but I am now! It was like I was supposed to find this shirt today because things are so "official" now! So, for a whopping $8 I bought it and I'm going to wear it with pride!
