I HIGHLY doubt things will happen this way, but this honestly would be the greatest and it HAS happened for some people, so I am staying hopeful. I know this sounds kinda silly, but besides the fact that I want this process to go as quickly as possible, I do these yearly photo books, and I although I realize 2009 will not be the year we will have our son in our arms, I am hopeful I will at least have a photo of him to put in the book this year. So, say a prayer that happens before 2010!
I’ve also promised myself that I will not buy anything for the nursery until we have a photo of him. I want to see his little face before we pick anything out. Also, I’m going to buy him every little shirt embracing adoption and Ethiopia that I can.

We did speak with our agency today, good news is that we will have our first formal meeting with them next week and they have already gotten us the very long formal application to fill out. So, we have something to get done this weekend so that right after our meeting with the agency we can move forward right away. I already like that they are trying to keep us ahead of the game. Everyone at the agency has been very nice, I know it’s still early, but I feel very good about our decision.
