Yeah I know, pretty great. So as of September 24th, we are on the waiting list! Whoohooo! From here I will just check in with the agency once a month to see what number we are on the waiting list. I can hardly wait until October 24th already! Hopefully, that will give us a better idea of how long of the 3-9 month wait will actually be.
Now on to other great things.... like this girl:
This is Kelli. She is stunning isn't she?! Well, here's the even better part, she is just as beautiful on the inside as you can see that she is on the outside. Kelli was Miss Michigan when I went to compete for the title back in 2005. (Crazy that it's been that long!) Since then we've been Email buddies that check in with each other now and again. Well, this girl has a heart for adoption, that is for sure. Bless her heart for for sending me this bag and this great card this week:
These bags are made by children in Uganda. This is an area of Africa devestated by war. The proceeds go towards helping to fund a school there. She was waiting to send it to me until after we got our I-171H form, and even wrote the date we got it on the card. Bless her heart, I seriously was all teary when I read it.
Thank you Kelli for being someone that understands my heart in all of this, I cannot wait until I see you embark on motherhood someday. You are an inspiration to me.
