Hi. Bad adoption blogger here. My apologies to my awesome readers.
I haven't posted a waiting list update for January yet because quite frankly, I don't know what it really is. There is so much talk about referrals that have happened, are about to happen, yadayada, that I don't feel like anything that I get is really accurate anyway. On the "official list" we were #38 back on January 1st, but I know of 2 cases on hold and a few other referrals that have happened already, so who the heck even knows anymore?! Once we are in the top 10 I think I can get more excited and I'll post more on here about that, but being this high on the list is just confusing trying to keep track of it all!
A couple weeks ago I did let the waiting get me down. I got a little bummed out like I did back when we were #2 over and over again for Eli's referral. But I made a decision, I'm done with all of that. I am taking peace in God's timing on this. I have a new niece or nephew on the way, many of my friends are expecting babies (or are hopeful to be expecting soon :-) So, I will just live vicariously through all of them while we wait. Also, Eli is so independant right now, it's AWESOME! Why do I want to rush myself back into the baby lifestyle again? It will come in His good timing, and I need to trust in that.
So, in the meantime, we have been busy. Obviously, we had Christmas and New Years, which was tons of fun, then of course Eli's birthday follows right after that. Can you believe he is 3 already?!

Seriously, how cute is he? I'm so blessed to be his Mommy.
And yes, I chopped all my hair off. I turn 30 in March, so I needed a change. I'm loving it so far!
