Going out of my mind waiting for referral.

Yep, this is a test for me, that is for sure. Last week was hard and today, I don't know, I guess I just thought that since Mark is home now that it was supposed to happen today. But, it didn't. Now, I am bummed. There's a part of me that wants to call the agency and see if we are #1 yet, or if we still remain at #2 (that would be hard to hear though). It's been 10 days since I spoke with them last, so I guess I figure if I haven't heard from them by Friday after lunch I may go back on what I said and I'll call just to see if we are any closer. Ugh, I just want them to call me! The problem is knowing we are SO CLOSE but yet each day the phone doesn't ring we still feel so far away. Oh Lord give me strength and patience.

So, in the event that all I am doing is complaining, I'll do something I saw on another blog recently. As you can see on the right side of this blog, I am what you would call a blog "stalker" and I know that I too am "stalked" by lots of people who don't really know me. So, here's a little bit about me for those of you who are "stalkers" like me.

*I won Biggest Complainer in High School. Go and reread the 1st paragraph of this blog post and you'll know why. Mark would probably agree that I still hold that title even now, 9 years later. I do try not do it, but it's a bad habit.

*I was a news reporter for a few years, and my nick name was Post-It. (I love that) I'll be honest, I was good at it, I loved the work and I gave it up because the industry is moving in a direction that I think pushes reporters to spend less time focusing on facts and more time focusing on a job someone else used to get paid to do (Photographers). However, I was able to do some really cool stuff like this:

(You have to admit, regardless of your political affiliation, this is cool!)

*I have a love/hate relationship with running. I LOVE the way I feel after but I HATE getting started. I am proud to say I ran a marathon (26.2 miles) and I have a goal to do it again someday.

*I am a Wine-Oh. I love wine, all forms... expensive, cheap, boxed, you name it, I'm a fan. I'm not ashamed of it either. (Clearly) I've also always hated it when some people make it seem like enjoying a nightcap or having a few drinks with friends is "wrong." Sometimes I even try to make cheap wine look classy:

(Don't you think it should be called "Franz" or "Fronz" instead? Just sounds classier. And just FYI, boxed wine makes THE BEST spritzers.)

*I have a lot of pet-peeves. Here are some of them:
-Sarah Palin: I don't think I really need to explain that one very much. And no, it's not because she's a republican. I happen to like many Republicans and I vote for them when I feel I should.
-Smokers who say they have to defend "their right" to smoke in buildings. Who gave you "the right" to give me cancer? I don't remember signing up for that.
-When people laugh at, or even worse, when they tell racist jokes.

*I think my husband is the best gift God has given to me. (Other than Jesus) He is such a perfect fit for me and I am so thankful for him everyday. I am truly blessed to have a man that loves me more than life, but not more than Jesus, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Pray the referral comes soon! I'm going crazy!!! Hopefully the next post is the referral post!!
