How has it been a month since my last update?! I can't believe I have let things go this long. I do apologize for all of you who have been waiting for some updates!
I'll start with the adoption stuff because that is seemingly what everyone is asking me about lately of course. We are gearing up to finish our dossier within the next month or so and then it should be off to Ethiopia and we will be on the waiting list! We are working on all of our USCIS approvals, so it's always exciting to get things in the mail right now that means we can move to the next "step".
Currently, there are over 30 families ahead of us on the waiting list, so I anticipate we are in for a wait of anywhere between 6-12 months this time around after our dossier gets sent off. (Last time we waited just 6 months) So, still a long road ahead, but we are looking forward to 2013 with the hopes of seeing a referral picture hopefully next fall!
As for family life, the fall has been BUSY. Like crazy, crazy busy with work for both Mark and I, but we are managing to work it all out and keep our weekends dedicated to Eli. Coming up is of course Halloween (I think Eli's going to be a race car driver) our annual wine tasting trip in Traverse City with family and of course some Cider Mill action.
Of course I will try to update more often, especially when our paperwork journey is finally over!
