Lots of Updates!

So, Hi! Remember me? The girl that used to update this blog once a week during the adoption process then once a month after we returned home? Yeah, she no longer exists... I think I need to come to just come to terms with that. I think over the last few months I've just begun to realize that I am a full time working mom who has a 2 year old and I run a non profit organization. I can't possibly feel guilty about not updating this thing, so I am trying not to. I doubt anyone even reads it anymore, but for those of you who do, we have a lot that's been going on!

First and most importantly, Eli turned 2. Yes, my sweet boy is a full-blown toddler and I love it. Yep, you heard me correctly, I LOVE THE 2'S! He is so sweet, caring and is a fantastic sleeper and listener. Of course he has some sassy moments, but overall I just love his sweet toddler innocence and watching him learn.

Of course we had a birthday party and in true Eli fashion (much like his first party) the cake and candles made him a bit scared. LOL, my sweet boy gets a bit overwhelmed when people are staring at him and singing.

I also started a new job. Yeppers. I am now a Community Relations Specialist at ITT Technical Institute. It's a fabulous job for me and it feels fabulous to be back to my "roots" in communications. As always, my inner struggle with guilt about being a working mom is always there, but I work hard to balance that as best I can.

Mark is fantastic, busy with work and Eli of course. We are gearing up for a trip to Mexico next week so we are ready for that. It will be our first trip traveling without other couples in several years! Eli will be with "Yama and Yampa" for the week. He absolutely adores them and won't want to come back home I'm sure.

Other than that, I hope you all have a great spring! Who knows what season it will be when I manage to update again, haha!
