Post It Notes: We are now number....

WHOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO! I cannot tell you how excited this makes me! I was hoping for #10 and to know that we are #9 is WAY BETTER!

So exciting, right?!

I usually take a couple days to write out and post a new blog, and I have nothing else prepared but to talk about our number, so in lieu of just posting a "9", I will quickly try to do what I saw on someone else's blog last night.

"Randomization by Amy":

#1. I am going to actually look at a crib tonight! Found a STEAL on Craig's List and I'm hoping it pans out. Turns out the couple selling lives in our neighborhood, so funny.

#2 We are having one of those Macaroni Grill boxed meals for dinner and I just simply LOVE those, so I am very happy with the way this day is shaping up.

#3 My best friend's baby smiles at me all the time, I think it's so great because it's almost non-stop and I love it.

#4 I don't know how to teach Louie to stop barking when a dog walks by the house. It's so irritating. Love him so much, but it's like he cannot stop no matter how much trouble he gets in.

#5 I have discovered I love my new phone (Palm Pre) but not so sure I'm loving being SO connected to everything, it really does change your life when you have one of these fancy-schmangled phones.

#6 I'm really starting to feel like this isn't a dream and I'm going to be a mom soon and it's freaky and thrilling all at the same time.

Important Words To Remember:

*Dossier* The set of documents that we send to Ethiopia to be put on the waiting list.

*Referral* The photo and information on our child that we will receive several months after we've been on the waiting list. This is when we find out who our little one is!

*Court date* After we receive our referral, a court date will be set up about 6 weeks later. We will travel to Ethiopia for this hearing.

*First Trip* The trip both of us will take to attend the court hearing and meet our child.

*Second Trip* The second trip when one of us will travel to pick up the child from Ethiopia and bring them home!

"Why?"

Answer: Mark and I don't really know, we believe there is a reason God put it on our hearts to adopt first rather than trying to have biological children. This does not mean we will never try for a biological child, it's just not where we are being led to build our family right now. We ask that you please respect our decision and join us in celebrating our amazing family!
