Not too bad for just 1 month of waiting, huh? There are 30 families from our agency waiting for placements and overall we are #29 out of 30 families, but because we aren't waiting specifically for a sibling group or a little girl, it moves us to #12 for our specific preferences. (our preferences are a baby of 0-10 months old of either gender, which gives us a 98% chance of getting a little boy) So, we are pretty happy with this number. Hopefully things start to pick up and more placements are made. Things have slowed down tremendously over the last couple of months as far as referrals go, so we're hoping it starts to pick up again soon. Let's hope that next month's report brings us down to #10! That would make me happy.
In other news, Mark and I caught that terrible flu that has been all over West Michigan. Looks like we are in the homestretch now as far as getting better is concerned but wowza has it sucked bad. I'm hopeful to be back at work tomorrow and back to my normal self by Saturday. Keep washing your hands everyone! My Doc says the germs from this flu can live on surfaces for 8 hours!
Also - last weekend at homecoming I found THE CUTEST little shirt for our little one! Gotta love making him sport GVSU style!
Until next time...
