So, there you have it! Zoe is going to be our sweet girls name! We are very excited. The interesting this is, unlike Eli's name, we didn't even debate this at all, it's actually been the name we've had picked out for almost a year now. Even when we started talking about even discussing other names that we liked, Eli piped in and informed us that her name is Zoe and that is just how he feels about it! We decided we couldn't really argue with him on this one as we both really love the name.
And just like with Eli, we will respect her Ethiopian heritage and will push her given name to her middle name, so her full name will be:
Zoe
Nazrawit
Post
Zoe means "Life" which I think is so perfect... because we will work so hard to be great parents to her so she loves this life we have here for her. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the meaning of Nazrawit yet, so if anyone has a resource out there to help me with that, I'd be so appreciative!
Also, I can't believe I forgot to mention in our last update, but Zoe is 3 1/2 months old right now and her birthday is June 14. I would like to add that I am so excited to have a summer birthday baby! All the rest of us have stinky winter birthdays, so this makes me very happy!
I'm hoping to send off our USCIS packet this week so we can get approval and a court date. However, I'm a bit concerned about all this happening with the big shut down, so if everyone prays that the our government would get things under control so we don't experience a delay, that would be awesome! I won't share what my opinion is on all of that, but we just need to get things back up and running!
Until next time...
