Post It Notes: Another Blog Change!

So I changed the blog design again because let's be honest, the photos on the other layout were seriously dated and needed to be updated. I was feeling like the old layout was a little too "busy" anyway, so I like this cleaner change. :-)

So, I know it's getting very close to Christmas, but I would love it if some of you could venture over to my friend Kristen's blog. She is selling ornaments as a fundraiser for their adoption from Ethiopia and I would love love love if you could help! Kristen and I worked together back in my earlier news days and I just can't wait to see their journey unfold! Here's my ornament!

So being that it is Christmas week things are busy over here. We have several parties this weekend with family and a big Christmas show at our church as well. (For information on attending that show, go here, it's a pretty sweet experience if you ask me.) We decided we are going to stay home as a family this year for New Year's Eve, and I'm pretty excited about it! I'm thinking movies, popcorn and lots of snuggling with my boys!

Next up is Eli's Birthday in January, can you believe this little man is almost 2 already?! Wow time flies...

Important Words To Remember:

*Dossier* The set of documents that we send to Ethiopia to be put on the waiting list.

*Referral* The photo and information on our child that we will receive several months after we've been on the waiting list. This is when we find out who our little one is!

*Court date* After we receive our referral, a court date will be set up about 6 weeks later. We will travel to Ethiopia for this hearing.

*First Trip* The trip both of us will take to attend the court hearing and meet our child.

*Second Trip* The second trip when one of us will travel to pick up the child from Ethiopia and bring them home!

"Why?"

Answer: Mark and I don't really know, we believe there is a reason God put it on our hearts to adopt first rather than trying to have biological children. This does not mean we will never try for a biological child, it's just not where we are being led to build our family right now. We ask that you please respect our decision and join us in celebrating our amazing family!
